Silver Creek Valley Country Club (San Jose, CA)
We met with the director of catering at Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, CA. She was very professional and took the time to go over all the details of the wedding package including menus and site fees. She also got her date book out and showed us which dates were still available for the following year which some vendors aren’t always willing to do. She gave us a lovely tour of the reception area and outdoor ceremony area. Luckily, we toured the place while a wedding was being set up so we could envision of how the place would look once it was all set up. You can request this when booking an appointment.
Here’s the lowdown:
Maximum Capacity: Accommodates up to 300 seated guests for indoor reception and outdoor ceremony.
Site Fees: I received an initial quote for $10,000 for a summer/fall Saturday wedding and $7,000 for a winter/spring Saturday wedding. This fee can be cut down by $3K to 2K if the wedding is held on a Friday or Sunday. This cost includes cake from Bijan Bakery which is probably a value of $500-$1000.
Catering: You must use the Club’s catering which requires a $15,000 food and beverage minimum for Summer/Fall Saturday weddings and $12,000 min for a Winter/Spring wedding. This is a few thousand dollars cheaper for Friday and Sunday weddings.
Address: 5460 Country Club Parkway, San Jose, CA 95138

The Good: Convenient location and convenient packages. A wedding coordinator will be provided by the Club (fee is included in the site fee) to assist with details, customized wedding binder, onsite ceremony rehearsal and wedding day management.
The Not-So Good: Valet parking services is mandatory for Saturday weddings which could range from $800 to $1000. Though some could consider this a very nice touch and added convenience for guests, I wish this were optional. Outside food and beverages can not be brought into or removed from the Club.

The ballroom where the reception would take place. It’s kind of hard to tell what the space would look like for a wedding. You can ask the catering manager to send you pictures from past weddings and you can see the potential of how beautiful the space can be. I included an image I grabbed from their website which can give you a better idea of what the place would look like with decor, flowers and good lighting.

Cute little lounge area where guests can get drinks or hang out before the reception.
